Good morning Year 3,
I hope you are all well. Thank you for all your emails, it's always lovely to see how well the children are getting on at home. Miss Thomas will be unavailable to answer emails today, so if you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here is a link to the families pack from the Empathy Lab https://www.empathylab.uk/family-activities-pack
The activities cover Empathy Day's three themes - Read, Connect, Act-but can be done in any order, with just some scrap paper and a pen or pencil.
- Watch the final episode: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/english-ks2-treasure-island-pt10/zr82382
- Write a newspaper report describing the triumphant return of the Hispaniola.
- You may want to use direct speech, imagining that as a reporter, you are interviewing some of the characters.
- You could design your own newspaper or use the template provided.
Maths: After feedback that the Roman Numeral questions on Wednesdays learning were difficult without input, today we are going to look at Roman Numerals. I have added a PDF slide show and worksheets.
There is also a video link for extra input.
There is also a roman numeral song to help you remember here.
