Friday 26th June 2020

Good morning Chestnut Class,

Hooray for Friday!

Did everyone enjoy the last few days of glorious sunny weather? My plants have been needing constant watering!

We have really enjoyed reading your job applications to work at the castle, so far we have recruited a carpenter, a sheriff, several knights, an artist, a gardener but no cook, which is a worry!

Your creativity for your stories has been fabulous, we've all enjoyed reading about underwater adventures, magical cats, a friendly yeti, two children and a friendly dragon. Well done!

House point so far for this week are

Yellow 22 points

Blue 17 points

Red 12 points

Green 24 points

From next week I will be in school four days, Monday and Tuesday with the first Chestnut bubble and then Thursday and Friday with the Key worker children from Key Stage 2. I am very excited to see you all over the next few weeks, I hope you are excited to be coming back even if it is just for a few days.

When I returned to school after half term I did feel nervous, and worried about what school would be like. I wish I hadn't worried, because from the minute I arrived it felt so safe and relaxed, and dare I say quite  normal!

We will have fun when you are in and I will do everything I can to make sure you feel relaxed and happy. I've made a short video so you can see what Chestnut class looks like and what to expect when you arrive. More details will follow from Mrs Hinchliffe and the admin team as soon as possible.

😊

Home learning will continue in a similar way through to the end of term, but I appreciate motivation has possibly dropped a tiny bit!  Please choose the things that you enjoy, and don't worry about doing everything, perhaps think about doing one thing a day and doing it really well. I will still be reading all your emails, and enjoying the photos you are sending in, however neither myself nor Mrs McLellan will be able to email feedback. If you have a problem then of course I am here to help and I will check in every evening.

Maybe just send through the one thing each week that you are really proud of?

Have wonderful day and enjoy your weekend!

Mrs Chadwick
