New boxed lunch menu - Spring Term 2021
School meals are cooked on the premises and our kitchens offer a variety of healthy dishes each day from hot meals to school packed lunches.
Children in Reception to Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals.
Children in Years 3 to 6 must have their meals paid for unless they are entitled to Free School Meals (see below).
School meals must be paid for in advance. If your child has insufficient funds, they may be refused a school meal. In this instance we will contact you and ask you to provide a home packed lunch. Payment can only be made via the School Gateway.
Home packed lunch
Parents choosing to provide their own packed lunch are requested to supply a balanced meal. This may consist of sandwiches, raw vegetables, yoghurt, and fruit. No sweets, nuts or fizzy drinks please. Drinks should come in a carton or plastic bottle. Drinking water is available and children are encouraged to drink regularly throughout the day.
Free School Meals
A child may be entitled to a free meal if the parents are receiving income support. If you think you might be eligible, please visit https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk and search for Free School Meals. Alternatively, you can contact the school office who will be able to help you.
Food allergies or intolerances
If your child has any food related allergies or intolerances, you must inform the school office. If your child is having a school dinner, then an application for a tailored menu must be made at https://specialmenu.hcl.co.uk
We are a nut free school.
The school meals are provided by Herts Catering.
