Welcome to another week Team Maple!

I hope you all had a good weekend.  Hopefully the weather will continue to improve!

You will see the way we are laying out the website has changed again.  This is a welcome change as I think it will give you all a chance to look at everything for the week and be more flexible with when you achieve tasks.  Last week a couple of children did most of the maths on the first day.  If that suits you and your child this is of course fine to do.

I have still created an overview of the week so you can see when I would recommend doing each activity and how they fit together, but feel free to be flexible to suit your families needs.

So this week:

Keep active: Joe Wicks, Cosmic Yoga, Andy's Wild Workouts, Go Noodle, Just dance, Bike Rides, Walks.

Weekly Challenge: How many times can you keep up a ball?  This challenge will depend on the equipment you have at home. Can you keep up a football with your foot, a tennis ball with a racket or a cricket bat?  Try as many as you can.

Keep Writing: Our SPaG and Handwriting tasks this week both continue focusing on word families.

We also have a series of lovely lessons from Mrs Chadwick to develop some reading and writing skills exploring one of her favourite books.

Keep Counting/Maths: This week we are focusing on shape.  In the Maths section you will find a document with the video links as well as the activity sheets for each day.

Wider Curriculum: We have a lovely art activity drawing our Portraits, which I cannot wait to see, another Spanish lesson and an Historical Timeline task.  Have fun and be creative.  Don't forget your cress science experiments if you haven't been able to do them yet.

Thank you for all of the new work and comments on Purple Mash.  I will keep checking this more regularly and would love to see some work from others to fill the display board with work from as many different people as possible.

Keep sending your lovely emails to Mrs McLellan and I.  I can't wait to see what you create this week.
