Hello Cedar, 

 

Welcome to another week of home learning.  Thank you for sending your instructional texts last week.  They were amazingly written and you all worked really hard on them to include fronted adverbials and expanded noun phrases.  This week, we will continue to focus on maths but we will be taking a break from fractions and decimals and moving on to some geometry.

Here is a list of all the activities I would like you to have a go at today if you can.

 

Reading: PurpleMash Nightmare Machine Chapter 2.  See attachment.

 

Spelling: Complete an activity from the spelling menu.  See attachment.

 

Handwriting: Practice the new Pangram and try to attempt the challenge.  See attachment.

 

English: Complete the BBC bitesize lesson on simile and metaphor at  https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z4nybdm

 

Maths: An introduction to translation.  This is an Oak National Academy lesson.  It works the same way as the English lessons did so follow the instructions of the teacher and complete the tasks when instructed.  https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/an-introduction-to-translation

 

Maths Meeting: We have covered all of the topics in maths meetings so we will be starting over from the beginning to help secure understanding.  Today, complete the maths meeting from 23rd March https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dxadxicnl1A.

 

Wider Curriculum: French.  Tour de France.  See timetable for list of attachments (3 total)

 

Sport: Use the wider curriculum menu to complete at least 30 minutes of physical activity.
