Good morning Chestnut class!

Activities for w/b 22nd June 2020

I hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend, the sun made an appearance and it's looking like a lovely sunny week - hooray!

This week in English you are writing your stories. You have worked really hard all year developing your skills, so I'd like you to use this piece of writing to really show off the amazing writers you have become in year 2. I don't mind what you write about, and in fact I'd love to have lots of different stories to read, so let your imaginations go wild!

In maths you are looking at rotation, direction and movement, using the white rose maths worksheets and some videos from Oak Academy to support the learning.

One of the things I have missed most about being in lockdown during the summer term is sports day, so I was delighted to hear that Rainbow Games have devised a sports day that you can do at home! So challenge everyone in your family, pick a lovely day and have your own mini Rainbow Games sports day! Please send some photos of your and your family and there is a special certificate that your adults can print off for you!

Keep in touch with Mrs McLellan and I -  think of one or two things to send us that you are really proud of.

Have a lovely week

Mrs Chadwick, Mrs McLellan and Mrs Orchard.
