Redbourn Primary School

This is the Schools Motto

W/B 6th July 2020

Hello Team Acorn,

Thank you to those of you who have continued to send us your learning from home this week. We really do like to see what you have been up to. Olivia did a wonderful rainbow experiment using a piece of kitchen roll and coloured pens. Eli did a fantastic drawing of his toy bear and had a go at writing the bear’s name and Joanna listened carefully to the sounds when packing her teddy's picnic. The children in Nursery have enjoyed playing ‘Ten in the Bed’ with the bears and were interested to know why Koalas were not included the cute bear film clip. I wonder if you could find out why.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Rainbow Games as part of their home learning and for sending in your scores. It looks like you all really enjoyed it. We have totalled up the scores from home with the star challenge that was completed in Nursery. The results are:

Red Team: 67 points

Blue Team: 94 points

Green Team: 147.5

Yellow: 109

Well done to Green Team!

Just a reminder that if you still have a library book at home, please could you return it to school. A box will be made available near to the main office for returns to be placed into. Please leave the books at your convenience, respecting social distancing as you do so.  Boxes will also be made available outside the classroom doors so that children who have returned to school can deposit them there. Please could you return the books in a named bag so that we know who has returned them. Thank you for your co-operation.

Our theme for next week is ‘Occupations and Recycling.’ Please refer to the home learning weekly plan for more details.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing your learning next week,

Best wishes,

Mrs Keith and Mrs Grimes
