Good morning Year 4,

Thank you all for your emails, I hope you all managed to locate the information on the website.  I have been really impressed with all of your coordinates work and hearing that some of you have had a go at playing battleships, well done!

Today's learning:

Maths - We are going to continue with our coordinates work but now we are going to incorporate polygons.  Please read through the slides and have a go at plotting your own polygons.  I have also attached destination questions and greater depth challenges for those who are wanting a trickier task.

English - Carry on choosing the English tasks off the grid, I have been so impressed with the different writing you are coming up with, we have great poets in year 4!

Spelling: Today you can have a go at Mrs Couch's spelling test - let me know how you got on and remember to use the spelling menu to practice any you got incorrect.

Year 3/4 spelling test link:

Mindfulness - Take some time out of your day to do some mindful colouring, you don't have to finish it all in one go, you can work your way through it as the week goes on.

Reading - Today we are focusing on inference, we are still using 'The Scarabs Secret' which I have attached just in case you don't still have it - read the text and have a go at using your inference skills to answer the questions.   Remember to use evidence in your answers and when you use quotes, you need to use inverted commas.

Please continue to do the daily activities from the activity menu, TTRS, handwriting, picking a task from the spelling menu and getting some physical exercise. A new menu will be going out this week with a different selection of tasks for you to complete at your own pace. I am on the end of an email should you have any questions.

I look forward to seeing the fantastic learning you complete today.
