Good morning Year 3,

I hope you are all well. Thank you for all your emails, it's always lovely to see how well the children are getting on at home. Miss Thomas will be unavailable to answer emails today, so if you have any questions please email fir@redbournprimary.co.uk.

Today's learning:

English:

  • Episode 7 of Treasure Island: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/english-ks2-treasure-island-pt7/zmxnkmn
  • This episode shows Jim taking important steps to defeat the pirates, get the treasure and arrange a safe way home. Imagine that each small, positive step he took was a step on a ladder.
  • Complete the ‘steps to success’ to show each of Jim’s actions: The first and last have been done for you. (see attached)

Maths:

We are continuing with our learning about time, using White Rose Maths. Please complete the activities attached.

Science:

Please complete this week's Oak Academy science lesson on plants - lesson 5, explain how plants transport water. There is a nice experiment at the end which proves how transpiration works. You could have a go at this yourself if you wish!

I hope you all have a lovely day and we look forward to seeing your fantastic learning!

Best Wishes,

Miss Lee and Miss Thomas
