2. Your responsibilities as a parent
Parents must ensure children attend school regularly, punctually and in a fit condition to learn. They must inform school on the first day of an absence by email or telephone, no later than 9.15am, of the reason for the absence and maintain regular communication. Parents must avoid arranging appointments and family holidays during term time.
If your child is late (after 8.55am) for school, you must ensure that you, or another person over the age of 16, bring them into the School Office to sign them in.
If your child must be absent from school for a hospital/clinic appointment, you must complete an absence request form, in addition to providing the office with a copy of the appointment letter.
