In-Year Admissions

If you are looking to move your child from another school to Redbourn Primary school, during the school year, you must apply for an in-year place via the Hertfordshire County Council, using the link above.

You can make an in year application for most schools in Hertfordshire. You can list up to four school preferences. If places are available, you will be offered your highest preference possible.

Prospective parents are welcome to contact the school for a tour of our school by the Headteacher. This will be an opportunity for you to experience a snapshot of Redbourn Primary School life. You will see the children learning in their classrooms and hear about class routines. Please phone the School Office on 01582 792341 to book.

Reception Admissions for September 2026

The application window for applying for a Reception place will open on 3rd November 2025 to start in September 2026. Applications must be made via Hertforshire County Council admissions. Click here to apply.

The application window will close on 15th January 2026, for on-time applications.

Reception Tours (for a September 2026 start)

We are excited to be able to welcome prospective parents to join the Headteacher, Miss Emma Fenn, for a tour of our school. This will be an opportunity for you to experience a snapshot of Redbourn Primary School life. You will see the children learning in their classrooms and hear about Redbourn Reception class routines.

Tours will be held on the following dates:

• Thursday 6^th November – 2.00pm
• Thursday 13^th November – 9.30am
• Friday 21^st November – 2.00pm
• Wednesday 26^th November – 2.00pm
• Thursday 4^th December – 9.30am
• Thursday 18^th December – 9.30am

If you would like to join us on any of the above tours, please phone the School Office on 01582 792341 to book your place. These tours are designed for an adult audience and will last approximately one hour, so we encourage parents to avoid bringing children with them as the tour will involve 30 minutes listening to the Headteacher, with the opportunity to ask questions, followed by 30 minutes walking around the school site. Should you decide to apply to Redbourn Primary School, there will be further opportunities for your child to visit at a later date.

Nursery Admissions for September 2026

Children who will turn 3 years of age between 1st September 2025 and 31st August 2026 are eligible for a Nursery place to start in September 2026.

The application window will open on Tuesday 6th January 2026 and will close on Monday 2nd March 2026. The application form will be published here from Tuesday 6th January.
