Redbourn Childcare Club (Childcare for Years R - 6)

Redbourn Childcare Club (RCC) runs every day from 3:15pm to 6:00pm, offering high-quality, reliable after-school care for children from Reception to Year 6.

Location: RCC is based in the ALPs (junior part of the school). Children may also have access to the Key Stage 2 Hall (when not in use), the KS2 playground, and the school field during warmer months.

Activities

Children are provided with a variety of age-appropriate activities, which may include:

  • Art and craft

  • Cooking

  • Sports and games

  • Board games and puzzles

  • Reading and storytelling

  • Imaginative and role play

  • Computing

  • Homework support

There is a balance of indoor and outdoor activities, weather permitting. Children are regularly consulted and encouraged to share their preferences to help shape the weekly activity offering.

RCC Drop Off

The school day finishes at 3:15pm for children in Reception to Year 2 and at 3:20pm for Years 3 to 6. Children attending RCC are collected by school staff and registered in the ALPs.

Children in Year 5 and 6 with permission to walk independently will walk directly to the ALPs.

Children attending other after-school clubs:

  • On-site clubs: Children will be brought to RCC at 4:30pm by the adult running the club and registered.

  • Off-site clubs: Children can be dropped off at the ALPs door from 4:30pm by an adult or teenager (age 16+) and registered.

Please note: the school does not take responsibility for children between the end of the school day and 4:30pm if they leave the premises to attend an off-site club.

RCC Pick Up

All children must be collected from the ALPs door (located by the staff car park) by an adult or teenager aged 16 or over. Children are not permitted to walk home alone.

Parents must inform the school of adults authorised to collect their child.

Fees are reviewed annually in line with the school’s Lettings Policy.
