Who Are We?

Marvellous Monday Club is available for all children from Reception up to Year 6 and is run by members of staff at Redbourn Primary School who are well known to all children that attend. Learning Support Assistants, Miss Morris is club leader and Mrs Faulkner supports. The club is held in The ALPS. We have access to both inside and outside facilities, using it as free flow during the warmer months. The club runs from after school until 5pm every Monday in term time.

We plan weekly adult-led activities for all children to take part in, whether it’s an Arts and Craft activity, baking or a group game outside. Please see below a brief overview of what this half term looks like for Marvellous Monday Club and our routine.

A typical afternoon at Marvellous Monday Club -

3:15-3:30 – Collection from classes Reception - Year 4 (Year 5 & 6 have permission to walk to The Alps from their classroom)

3:30-3:45 – Wind down/Snack (provided from home – should not include nuts)

3:45-4:30 – Adult led activity (arts & crafts, baking etc)

4:30-4:50 – Free play (child-initiated play/activity)

4:50-5:00 – Group game before home time (musical statues, hangman, wordle etc)

5:00 – Collection from The Alps

As well as the adult-led activities described above, the children are encouraged to free play and choose some of their own activities throughout the session.

If your child is interested in attending in the spring term, please sign up via your Arbor Parent Portal by the deadlines stated below. Places are limited to 20 and will be on a first come, first served basis. You will need to sign up to each half term.

• 1^st half term – Deadline to sign up by 10^th January

• Monday 13^th January – Monday 10^th February

• 5 sessions @ £12 per session – total cost £60

• 2^nd half term – Deadline to sign up by 21^st February

• Monday 24^th February – Monday 31^st March

• 6 sessions @ £12 per session – total cost £72

Payments will need to be paid in advance to secure your child’s place. Please note we do not offer refunds for any sessions missed, unless a session is cancelled by the school.

MMC finishes at 5pm prompt and there is a dedicated Marvellous Monday Club email address for emergency pick-up messages between 4pm and 5pm on Mondays only.

The email address is mmc@redbournprimary.co.uk and it should be used to notify the staff of any changes to pick up arrangements in relation to Marvellous Monday Club after the school office closes at 4pm.
