About RPTA
Redbourn Primary School PTA (RPTA) is a strong fundraising committee run by parent and staff volunteers. Our main aim is to raise vital funds and also to bring staff, parents and children together socially in support of our school. Every parent/carer becomes a member of RPTA when their child joins the school.
Without the help of dedicated parents and staff our events could not take place, so we urge everyone to get involved! Not only is getting involved fun, and a great way to meet other parents, but your child will also enjoy participating in events as well as hugely benefitting from the funds we raise to enrich their learning environment.
The RPTA Committee
We are a registered charity (no. 290848) that consists of a Chair (Sophie Stockdale), Vice Chairs (vacant), Secretary (Maz Lopez), Treasurers (Cat Newley & Marie McGrath), Class Reps and Committee members.
We meet once a term and smaller sub-committees are set up for larger events. All help is warmly welcomed and appreciated, you can give as much or as little of your time as you can spare.
Everyone is welcome so if you would like to know more about helping RPTA, how you can be involved, join a meeting or to suggest new events please speak to us on the playground, email redbournpta@gmail.com or leave a message at the office.
We also have a Facebook page which we encourage all parents/carers to join.
Class Reps
Our Class Reps provide a positive link between parents and RPTA and are vital in promoting and supporting our events. Each class has a rep or two (please see committee list below). Their main role is to communicate key dates and reminders on upcoming events, where help and volunteers are needed and how to be involved. If you would like to be added to your class WhatsApp group your RPTA Class Rep will be able to help you.
Our Events
RPTA organises fundraising events for parents/carers & staff such as Burns night, quiz nights, the May Ball & boozy bingo.
The children enjoy discos, film nights, cake/ice lolly sales and for everyone we have our Summer Sizzler and Christmas Bazaar.
RPTA also organises a range of topical events around Easter, Autumn and Christmas among others.
We are always looking for new event ideas so please do get in touch or come along to a meeting.
Thank you!
